- Automatic Condensing Acid Drain
In the production process of sulfur acid making plant, there are two key locations that continuously produce condensing acid, while the other four locations need to be checked regularly on a daily basis to assess the health of the plant. If the condensate acid is not discharged in time, it may cause corrosion of the device or blockage of the pipe. If the boiler water vapor system is affected, the sulfuric acid unit may be shut down for a long time, resulting in significant losses.
The condensed acid produced in the production process of traditional sulfur acid plants usually relies on manual periodic inspection and discharge. In this process, a large amount of condensing acid is often produced due to device anomalies. Since the device is operated under positive pressure, condensing acid will splash due to pressure during discharge, which not only increases the safety risk of the discharge personnel, but also because the discharge process is not closed, a large amount of acid gas is discharged into the environment with the condensing acid, resulting in environmental pollution and equipment corrosion.
According to statistics, the acid gas released to the environment by a single sulfuric acid device due to the unsealed discharge of condensing acid throughout the year is about 3000m3. In order to solve this problem, we developed and designed the LSA-300 automatic condensing acid discharge device, which is a safe and environmentally friendly special equipment for sulfuric acid plant that integrates automatic closed discharge and automatic detection of water vapor system leakage.

The equipment can be installed at the bottom of the steam injector, the exit of the waste heat recovery tower, the exit of the drying tower, the bottom of the first economizer, the bottom of the second economizer and the heat exchanger.
The system quickly detects plant failure if the amount of condensate produced is abnormal and allows for timely adjustment of process parameters, thereby avoiding significant plant shutdown losses.
The automatic discharge of condensed acid eliminates the operator's risk of direct contact with sulfuric acid and correspondingly reduces the operator's labor intensity.
The system eliminates the blind spot of unorganized acid gas emission from the sulfuric acid plant, effectively protects the production environment, and prevents the equipment from being corroded by dilute acid.
Through accurate metering of condensed acid, accurate data can be obtained to provide scientific basis for production management and process control, thereby improving the operation efficiency of the plant and creating higher economic value.
