Water Vapor Leak Detector

The LSA-120 water vapor leak detector, as the third generation product, can accurately detect the presence of water and steam leaks in the system. The device uses high-precision pulse detection technology, self-leakage calculation model and automatic control program to ensure its safety and environmental friendliness, and is specially designed for sulfuric acid plants. It is suitable for automatic detection of water vapor leakage in sulfur acid boiler system and automatic discharge of condensed acid from I and II economizers. In addition, it is also suitable for the health check of drying tower and one suction tower demister. The LSA-120 is ideal for sulphuric acid plants due to its measurement accuracy, environmental protection and safety and maintenance-free features./p>

Product Performance

With the passage of time or equipment defects, there will inevitably be water or steam leaks in the system of the sulfur acid plant. In the production process, the sulfuric acid plant should especially avoid the leakage of water and steam, because this will lead to the corrosion and damage of key components such as economizer, absorption system and catalyst. In addition, the leak will also cause the concentration of acid fog in exhaust emissions to exceed the standard. If the exhaust gas treatment is using activated carbon desulfurization technology, leakage can even cause the desulfurization process to fail. Therefore, timely detection and discovery of water and steam leakage is an effective strategy to reduce economic losses. Traditionally, operators determine the presence of a leak by checking subsea valves and acid discharge valves every four to eight hours to see if any condensing acid is present. However, this approach has several disadvantages:

① A long inspection interval is not conducive to the timely detection of device leaks, once found, often has caused economic losses.

② When the operator opens the inspection valve, a large amount of acid gas may leak into the environment, which not only threatens the health of personnel, but also leads to equipment corrosion.

③ If there is condensing acid inside the check valve, the condensing acid may be sprayed out due to the internal pressure when the valve is opened, causing injury to the operator.

④ Due to the frequent opening and closing operation of the valve and the impact of acid mud and wet air, it is easy to leak, resulting in continuous acid gas emissions and pollution of the environment.

⑤ In order to prevent damage to the inspection valve during operation, a double combination is usually used. However, due to the accumulation of acid mud at the valve, it becomes extremely difficult to open and close each time, which brings great work burden to the operator.
